As a Pricing Specialist with Frontier Direct Care your primary responsibilities will be to support our referral team by coordinating the financial aspects of specialist referrals for our members. You will also manage, negotiate, and make payments for said referrals. Other responsibilities will include coordination of communication with other referral supporting teams.
A successful Pricing Specialist enjoys supporting and owning a variety of tasks including pricing negotiations and payment. You approach challenges with grit and empathy, staying calm under pressure and motivated by the purpose behind your work. You find fulfillment in helping others navigate complex systems, always striving to make each interaction a positive and meaningful experience.
This is a full time position based at our headquarters in Harlingen, TX
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and Coordinate Financial Aspects of Specialists Referrals (pricing and payments)
- Identify Specialist Providers to Refer Members to
- Coordinate Payment for Specialists Referrals
- Price and Negotiate Office Visits and Procedures with Specialists Providers and Hospitals
- Assist in Creation of Referral Financial Strategies
- Assist with Referral Cost Containment
- Assist Other Teams with Referral Updates
- Create payment cards and distribute to member
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years experience working in a medical office, clinic, hospital or surgery center environment
- Experience with healthcare billing, insurance and/or claims processes
- Experience working in a cash pay provider office setting
- Prior experience making outbound calls
- Pricing negotiations experience
- General understanding of health insurance deductibles or claims workflows
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Problem-solving skills with a tenacious, proactive approach.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, required.
- Experience navigating multiple systems and complex workflows while meeting SLAs and other work related metrics.
