EDUCATIONAL / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
* Candidates must have a MS degree, or higher, from an accredited program in optics, applied physics, or related field with at least 2yrs of relevant work experience; or a PhD without experience.
* Experience in the specification, design, and evaluation of optical sub-systems utilizing active and passive optical components including lenses, mirrors, lasers, optical detectors and manual/automated methods of adjustment.
* Hands-on experience in aligning optical systems, including infrared based systems.
* The preferred candidate will have experience with ultrafast laser material processing and system design experience including DUV, infrared and other lasers technologies in the context of processing equipment, industrial metrology or similar products.
* System modeling experience with programs such as SolidWorks, Matlab, LabView is desired, as is experience with optical simulation tools such as ZEMAX.
* Knowledge of problem solving methodologies, industry standards and regulations strongly desired. Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, collaborative environment required. Should be hard working, team oriented, bright, creative, driven to push the boundaries of technology!
At Bruker, the base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $86,400 and $153,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on several job-related factors, including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge, and travel requirements for this position.
