Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist Discipline: School Services Duration: 18 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract Position Details: Location : Providence, RI Pay: Starting at $49/hr Hours: May vary based on location Schedule: May vary based on location Qualifications: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or beyond. RI SLP Licensure is required thru RI DOE. ASHA SLP-CCC Certification is required. ESOL Certification highly preferred. Experience working with students with a range of disabilities (e.g., learning disabilities, autism, developmental delays, etc.) Skills & Experience: Experience working with children in school settings, preferably in bilingual/dual-language programs. Bilingual (Spanish-English) proficiency preferred. Knowledge of IDEA, IEP processes, and evidence-based practices in speech-language services. Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills. Experience with diverse student populations and English Language Learners (ELLs). Training in culturally responsive and trauma-informed practices. Familiarity with digital tools and data systems used in special education documentation. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations in accordance with federal and state guidelines. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students with speech-language needs. Deliver direct and consultative speech/language services to students in inclusive and pull-out settings. Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and eligibility determinations. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, services, and progress toward IEP goals.
