ABOUT THE ROLE
Provide high quality troubleshooting, installation and repair, as well as operational tasks in the waste process area.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Sampling, loading and offloading of flammable material tankers and rail tank cars.
- Operates forklift, rail car mover, and other light industrial equipment.
- Compiles and routes daily and weekly paperwork.
- Performs inspections of the facility.
- Participates in formal and on-the job training programs to acquire/broaden both technical and nontechnical job skills; participates in cross training activities.
- Assists with preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment. Services and lubricates equipment as required.
- Suggests programs that reduce/contain costs and/or increase productivity. Takes independent action to resolve problems when appropriate.
- Works daytime shift schedule and weekends as assigned.
- Troubleshoot and repair critica and routine mechanical failures.
- Complete planned maintenance work orders.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High School Diploma/GED
Required Work Experience: 1-2 years of basic industiral mechancial, electrical or shipping experience, 2-4 years of experience is preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Knowledge of overall fuels blending operations, or comparable heavy industrial environment
- Mechanical/electrical/instrumentation of pumps, grinders, tank farm operations, is preferred.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
