Job SummaryThe Director, Accounting & Loan Servicing provides strategic and operational leadership across the full commercial mortgage lifecycle, from financial close and portfolio reporting through day-to-day loan servicing execution. This role owns monthly close, consolidated financial reporting, and portfolio analytics for internal leaders and external stakeholders, including institutional investors, rating agencies, regulators, and auditors.
The Director establishes and maintains a strong control environment that supports clean audits, accurate reporting, and reliable, decision-ready information. Partnering closely with Origination, Servicing, Treasury, Legal, Technology, and other key teams, this role aligns accounting and servicing objectives with business strategy while driving continuous improvement in data quality, risk management, and stakeholder experience.
Key areas of responsibility include GAAP, statutory, and CECL reporting; oversight of loan servicing operations such as payment processing, escrow and tax administration, portfolio surveillance, and servicing data governance; and leadership of teams focused on efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Experience:• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in commercial real estate lending, underwriting, accounting, and/or loan servicing
• Experience supporting commercial mortgage portfolios, preferably within a life insurance company environment
• Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing accounting, reporting, and/or servicing teams
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, statutory reporting, and CECL
• Experience managing monthly close, journals, reconciliations, and analyses
• Working knowledge of commercial real estate markets and loan servicing practices
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
• CPA preferred
• Occasional travel may be required

The actual compensation for this role will be based on a combination of education and experience, knowledge and skills, position budget, internal equity, and market data.
Salary Range:
$101,250.00 - $162,000.00
