ResponsibilitiesJob Summary:This role focuses on designing, building, and supporting modern, scalable software solutions using C#, .NET Core, and SQL Server. It includes contributing to new development efforts as well as enhancing and evolving existing systems, with an emphasis on performance, maintainability, and overall quality. The position is wellsuited for an engineer who thrives in a collaborative Agile environment, is interested in modern architectural approaches, and enjoys developing solutions that have a direct impact on the business.
Organizational Impact:This role contributes to the development of modern, scalable solutions that advance Digitech's technology roadmap and support evolving business needs. By improving application performance, reliability, and maintainability, this position directly enhances operational efficiency and user experience. The engineer also supports ongoing modernization efforts and helps strengthen engineering best practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and applications using C# and .NET Core
- Build and optimize SQL Server database objects, including tables, views, stored procedures, and indexes
- Develop and integrate APIs and backend services that support internal and external applications
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, security best practices, and performance expectations
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production incidents
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including Product, QA, DevOps, and Architecture
- Contribute to documentation, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices using version control and automated testing
- Additional job duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field
- 3-5 years of professional software engineer experience
- Strong handson experience with C#, .NET Core, and SQL Server
- Solid knowledge of objectoriented programming, data structures, and design patterns
- Experience building or consuming APIs
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problemsolving skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
- Ability to independently manage all aspects of the job role including required goals and business practices in a remote environment
