SummaryCHS has an exciting opportunity supporting the Finance Data Management team. We are looking for a
Customer Business Data Steward to be responsible for the quality of data for assigned data objects. This position will partner with CHS functions, product lines, as well as data owners, data management analysts and specialists to ensure master data supporting workstream initiatives is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable. The ideal candidate will enjoy collaborating with other associates and team members and leverage strong communication skills.
To be considered for this position, qualified candidates must reside in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN metro area to work in a hybrid structure (3+ days per week) in the corporate office located in Inver Grove Heights, MN.
ResponsibilitiesData Quality and Cleansing
- Execute and define processes and procedures for monitoring, analyzing, correcting, and maintaining data for assigned data objects.
- Leverage existing processes such as those managed and completed by the Enterprise Data Governance team to update governed master data objects.
- Collaborate with existing data channels to gather and update master data within our CHS systems.
- Engage with other data stewards, data owners, data management, and data enablement teams across CHS to take appropriate actions with the goal of increasing the data's usability, quality and fit for purpose for our business.
- Partner with business and technical subject matter experts to identify, analyze, and document data migration cleansing and transformation rules from legacy source systems.
- Collaborate with enterprise data management analysts and IT to resolve technical issues with data governance tools.
- Create and facilitate training to internal and external stakeholders.
Data Management and Governance
- Work in partnership with data owners, data management leadership, and data council to define and set data quality standards and improve processes for the assigned data object.
- Lead data initiatives to support data owner and data object priorities.
- Drive and execute cataloging of assigned data objects.
- Resolve conflicts by applying creative problem-solving skills to mitigate disputes.
Data Quality Performance Measurement
- Define, develop, and measure data quality key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics in partnership with IT.
- Track and evaluate performance and collaborate with others to create efficiencies.
- Present key performance indicators and metrics to data owners, data management leadership, and internal stakeholders depicting opportunities for improvement and measures of success.
Minimum Qualifications (required)- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- 2+ years of experience in data management and governance, or customer data related fields to include:
- Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives, accomplish objectives, and influence across an organization
- Direct application of data governance or data management practices
Additional Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, marketing, or data related degree
- Experience with data quality, data cataloging, and analytics tools
- Experience leading continuous improvement projects and tasks
- Experience effectively using multiple ERP systems
- Proficient in MS Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
