Minimum Qualifications: *A bachelor's degree in public health, public administration, social/behavioral sciences, physical sciences, nursing, healthcare, finance, accounting, business administration, business, or a directly related field from an accredited institution. *4+ years of progressively responsible research development and program management experience within a university, public health, or healthcare setting. *4+ years of experience working with federal sponsored funding - specifically, identifying agency missions, programs, policies, and funding opportunity announcements. A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications: *Experience developing requirements, structure, and processes associated with extramural grants and contracts. *Experience working with various federal award databases (NSF, DoD, Reporter, InfoEd etc) project management systems, and proposal submission platforms (InfoReady, Smartsheets etc.) *Strong project management skills. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: *Ability to establish work priorities and handle multiple deadlines. *Ability to plan, implement, and coordinate financial and administrative activities. *Ability to use various computer systems and software applications. *Ability to initiate and maintain effective lines of communication with other areas/departments/sponsors. *Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. *Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution. *Outstanding leadership skills. *Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion. |
