We are currently seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our firm. As a Tax Manager, you will be at the heart of our clients financial operations, ensuring that all tax obligations are met and that our financial practices are sound, efficient, and compliant with the law. This role requires a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations, as well as the ability to interpret and apply them in various business scenarios.
Responsibilities
As a Permanent Tax Manager, you will be responsible for:
1. Preparing and reviewing tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120s, 1120) for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
2. Providing strategic tax planning and consulting to clients.
3. Conducting complex tax research and analysis to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
4. Managing relationships with clients and providing exceptional customer service.
5. Supervising, training, and mentoring junior staff members.
6. Collaborating with other departments to ensure the accuracy of financial reports and records.
7. Keeping up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and advising management on the financial implications.
8. Participating in business development initiatives and identifying new business opportunities.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Tax Manager role should have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm or a similar role.
2. A CPA or EA certification.
3. Extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations, and experience preparing and reviewing tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120s, 1120) for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-financial individuals.
6. Proficiency in tax software and other relevant computer applications.
7. Strong leadership and team management skills.
8. A high degree of professionalism and integrity.
