We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager with a strong background in Educational Construction to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position, offering a unique opportunity to manage and lead the construction of educational facilities for the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Division of the State Architect (DSA) regulations and extensive experience in K-12 educational facility construction, specifically CHPS (Collaborative for High Performance Schools) projects.
Responsibilities:
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. Your role will include but will not be limited to:
1. Leading the project team in planning, coordination and execution of construction projects ensuring that they meet the required standards and regulations.
2. Overseeing Design-Build projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
3. Managing relationships with clients, stakeholders, and public works entities.
4. Utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology to enhance project visualization, improve productivity, and reduce costs.
5. Implementing and promoting LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards and practices in all projects.
6. Ensuring all project activities comply with company policies and OH&S regulations.
7. Preparing and presenting project updates and progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in educational construction project management, specifically with LAUSD and DSA regulations.
2. Proven experience in managing K-12 and CHPS projects. $50M and above.
3. Extensive knowledge of Design-Build and Public Works projects.
4. Proficiency in using BIM technology.
5. Familiarity with LEED standards and certification process.
6. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
7. Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
9. A strong commitment to safety and the environment.
10. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
