We are looking for a Working Student (m/f/d) Underwriting Natural Resources Europe with a focus on Renewable Energies, based in Munich (Unterföhring).

The Impact You Will Have In this role, you will take on a central supporting function within the European Natural Resources Underwriting team. You will contribute to a wide range of tasks including data analysis, documentation, and broker/client communication. Your work will play an essential part in helping us achieve our business goals and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients.
In particular, you will support the rollout, improvement, and establishment of a new product across different regions. Your technical and data science skills will be critical in further developing and streamlining this product to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
- Support the implementation and development of a new product within the Renewable Energy area across different regions.
- Perform administrative tasks and enter data into internal underwriting and sales system as part of the general Underwriting process.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders across different regions and teams.
- Assist Underwriters on their daily tasks (including contacting brokers, managing documents and updating systems, using internal rating and assessment tools to support risk classification, modeling risks using pricing tools, contributing to due dilligence activities).
- Assist in preparing statistics of portfolios and analyse performance.
- Support in improving processes and help create new (AI-driven) tools.
What You'll Bring to the Role - You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Data Science, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.
- You are resourceful, self-driven, and eager to take ownership of tasks and initiatives.
- A solid understanding of financial concepts, with initial exposure to areas such as risk assessment, economics, finance, or project evaluation, is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or other analytics tools is essential. Familiarity with Python, R, SQL, or data visualization techniques is a plus.
- You are comfortable using AI-assisted tools and digital solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency and are open to learning and integrating new technologies into your day-to-day work.
- You take initiative, follow through on responsibilities, and actively seek opportunities to contribute to team success.
- You can communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, and are confident interacting with internal and external stakeholders across various channels.
- You have a genuine interest in renewable energy, natural resources, and (re)insurance, and you're always looking to deepen your knowledge and understanding.
- You can break down complex problems, interpret data, and provide insights to support underwriting decisions.
- A basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential applications in business is essential.
- Fluency in both English AND GERMAN is required.
