Role Overview
VersAbility Resources is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to support the Human Resources team.
This role provides hands-on experience across core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and administrative support. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and interested in gaining real-world experience in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
Candidates must reside in Virginia and be able to work onsite at our corporate office in Hampton, Virginia.

What You'll Do
• \tAssist with recruitment activities, including attending events and reviewing resumes
• \tSupport onboarding processes and new hire orientation
• \tMaintain and update employee records and HR documentation
• \tParticipate in employee engagement initiatives and training activities
• \tProvide general administrative support to the HR team
• \tAssist with special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications
• \tCurrently enrolled as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student pursuing a degree in Human Resources or a related field
• \tMinimum GPA of 3.0 required
• \tStrong organizational and time management skills
• \tExcellent verbal and written communication skills
• \tProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• \tAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• \tAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• \tValid driver's license required

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position operates in a professional office environment and is primarily sedentary. The role may require extended periods of sitting, with occasional standing, walking, or lifting of light office materials. This position may also require occasional travel to recruitment events or off-site locations.

Schedule
This is a part-time position. Specific schedule will be discussed during the interview process but will most likely be Monday through Friday during standard business hours (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM).
