DescriptionThe Account Owner is the primary point of contact with the customer and provides customer/technical support, planning and optimization for the account. The Account Owner maintains and develops relationships with existing and new clients while ensuring the best possible revenue for ZIM.
Key responsibilities:- Meets with clients in person for negotiating rates and closing deals.
- Delivers all sales presentations to key accounts.
- Develops and implements strategic sales plans.
- Develops new account.
- Establishes and coordinates specialized rates (per commodity - if/when mandate has been assigned to him/her) for each office.
- Communicates with other offices in regard to specialized rates .
- Forecast and track key account metrics.
- Report on market activity (weekly).
- Benchmarking and intel gathering on customers and competition.
- Monitor and manage account's business volume and revenue metrics within our company CRM system.
- Maintain and log sales activities in the CRM system.
- Generate periodic customer forecast figures.
- Respond to inquiries, by email or phone, from clients/vendors and other ZIM Offices.
- Act as a backup to team members.
RequirementsRequirements:- C.E.G.E.P. (or equivalent) diploma
- Three to five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
