- Work closely with engineers to perform telecom design work in addition to drafting and project related tasks on assigned projects. Transform designs into CADD produced drawings using appropriate software.
- Set up and detail plans by analyzing sketches, notes and other input material to determine the best approach for the completion of drawings.
- Work from sketches to produce computer-generated graphs, charts, overlays and isometric drawings including digital terrain models and surfaces.
- Calculate quantity takeoffs and prepare cost estimates.
- Perform high level design computations, earthwork calculations and prepare complete construction plans.
- Determine and calculate stormwater drainage areas and steep slope areas.
- Prepare concept layout plans.
- Perform grading, utility, stormwater and soil erosion/sediment control design.
- Conform to the company's standard CADD procedures for layering, etc., and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout.
- Work with numerous project teams to help in project completion.
- Coordinate details and dimensions between drawing sheets.
- Prepare project exhibits.
- Address assignments of increased difficulty as proficiency is increased.
Skills & Requirements • High School Diploma/Equivalent; Associates Degree or a Certificate from a technical school, preferably in AutoCAD. • 0-6 months of related experience. • Proficient with AutoCAD.
