JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor
Departments: Housekeeping
Supervision Exercised: Room Attendants, House Attendants, Laundry Attendants
Supervision Received: Housekeeping Manager/ Executive Housekeeper / General Manager
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Hospitality coursework or certification preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of housekeeping experience in a hotel environment.
- Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
- Experience with housekeeping software or PMS systems (HotSOS, OnQ, Opera, etc.) a plus.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to train, coach, and motivate team members.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and chemical handling.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50-75 lbs.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and support housekeeping staff during daily operations.
- Inspect guest rooms, hallways, and public areas for cleanliness and compliance with brand standards.
- Assist with training new employees on cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
- Ensure carts, closets, and supply rooms are clean, stocked, and organized.
- Address guest requests and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
- Report maintenance concerns and ensure timely follow-up.
- Monitor productivity and assist with scheduling and labor management.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, assignments, and supply usage.
- Uphold all safety, sanitation, and company policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
