Boiler Operator Opportunity
Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a local warehouse for this exciting employment opportunity located in Long Prairie, MN. We are seeking candidates for Boiler Operator roles on the 3rd and weekend shifts. Compensation for these direct hire opportunities ranges between $58,240-$72,800 per year, depending on experience and shift. Interested? Read below for more information.
What you will do as a Boiler Operator:
- Perform daily boiler operations, including startups, shutdowns, and routine inspections
- Monitor operations, document readings, and maintain accurate reports
- Pull water samples, test, and adjust chemical levels for the water softener system
- Identify, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance on boilers and support equipment
- Follow GMP, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
- Communicate with maintenance and boiler team members to ensure smooth shift transitions
What you need to be a Boiler Operator:
- 2B Boiler's License or higher required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in a food-grade facility preferred (dry goods and high-speed packaging a plus)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and use sound judgment in planning and problem-solving
- Strong initiative, communication, and follow-through skills
- Basic computer knowledge; proficiency in MS Word and Excel with working knowledge of PowerPoint (Access a plus)
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions in English
- Ability to perform basic math, including fractions, percentages, and weight calculations
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift at least 50 pounds
- Ability to pass a background check and physical/drug screen
