Amazon MGM Studios is hiring a Production Manager to support the International Originals, Canada team. The Production Manager will work alongside the Canadian executive team to oversee budgets, schedules, and overall production plans for scripted, unscripted and films, collaborating closely with internal partners including Post-Production, Business Affairs, and Creative Development.

Key job responsibilities
Work in tandem with executives to oversee projects from development through post.
Collaborate with producers and creative executives to assess budgets, production plans, and schedules, including analysis of production risks and budget/schedule impacts
Partner with internal teams (finance, post, VFX, music, casting, Business Affairs) to develop budgets and schedules
Have deep working knowledge of the Canadian production landscape, understand and be able to advise on local opportunities.
Travel to set as needed to evaluate workflow, budgets and potential challenges
Analyze budgets and cost reports
Act as liaison between Studio and productions
Manage cross-departmental meetings with Studio teams and filmmakers to ensure consistent policy implementation
Oversee local guidance of Production Manual with current policies and procedures
Assist in hiring executive producers, UPMs, and key department heads
Create and maintain key departmental documents
Oversee wrap delivery for all productions
Manage additional photography or reshoot requirements
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of budgeting, scheduling and cost reporting experience
3+ years of producer, production manager or line producer experience
3+ years of overseeing and managing projects and deadlines experience
5+ years of editing/writing in long form audio, long form magazine, or television/film experience
Preferred Qualifications
Fluency in French desired.
Experience building processes, project management, and schedules across multiple concurrent projects
Proven ability to prioritize, plan, and meet deadlines with strong organizational skills
Experience dealing with major unions, guilds, contractual terms, and deal structures in the entertainment industry
Working knowledge of Canadian union and non-union labor guidelines
Experience with location-specific production guidelines, procedures, and local tax credits
Experience with a variety of digital media workflows
Experience handling confidential information and maintaining professionalism with senior executives
Experience working with external and internal partners throughout development and production
Experience with show clearance and credits issues
Able to recognize opportunities based on industry expertise
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
