TITLE: PACKAGING OPERATOR B
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Under minimal supervision, perform packaging operation of solid dose products, as assigned in the Packaging Department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
- Proficiency in basic math.
- High School Diploma/Certificate; or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least six months of equivalent machine operation experience, familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment procedures and GMP preferred, proven knowledge of high speed, manufacturing equipment
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures that the packaging line is set-up and runs productively and efficiently following all the SOP's and cGMP's guidelines.
- Ensures that all documentation is correctly filled prior, during and at the end of the packaging process.
- Follows all the PPE guidelines.
- Performs the filling, weighing, securing, labeling, and packaging of the containers as per company and/or customer specifications following all the SOP's and cGMP's guidelines.
- Works along with QC department to ensure that the products are being packaged following QC standards.
- Helps to maintain a positive working environment within the packaging line.
- Helps in training operators in the different station at the packaging line.
- Identifies any deficiencies, constrains and/or problems that could impede the efficient packaging process flow and assist and/or provide ideas and feedback to solve them.
- Maintains working area orderly and clean.
- Works efficiently to achieve all the production output goals.
- Perform operational tasks and equipment maintenance as needed, requested, directed or instructed by the supervisor/manager.
- Able to assist with equipment preventive maintenance and operational tasks, as needed.
- Utilize Safety in the Workplace Best Practices
- Follow MSDS instructions and compliance with the Lockout/Tagout program, if and when applicable; adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Report any out-of-compliance items to the supervisor immediately.
- May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, ELECTRONIC DEVICES & SOFTWARE:
- Experience using a manual pallet jack.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:
- Ability to routinely lift 30-50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for 8-10 hours
