Job: Prep Cook / Baker
Location: Hartford, WI
Shift: 4:30am - 12:00pm T-F, every other weekend. Weekend hours will fluctuate
Pay Range: $15.00 - $17.00 / hour
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assemble a variety of menu items, including salads, entrees, sauces, and dips
- Wash, cut, and chop fruits, vegetables, and cooked meats for use in recipes and food preparation
- Assemble prepared food trays such as deviled eggs, cheese and sausage, and fruit and vegetable platters
- Proof and bake pre-made buns according to established procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in accordance with food safety standards
- Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen, food prep, deli, catering or food service environment preferred
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (e.g., safe food handling, cleanliness standards)
- Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and portion guidelines accurately
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and presentation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively
- Comfortable using kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, and ovens
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25-50 pounds as needed
- Dependable, team-oriented, and able to take direction well
- Food handler certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred
