Accounting Manager
Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and managing the accounting team. This role involves maintaining the general ledger, preparing financial statements, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including preparation of financial statements.
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Coordinate and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Oversee internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support.
Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and reporting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA certification preferred.
5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
