Senior Engineering Recruiter Aerospace & Defense, Engineering, IT, Technical, Medical & Science LSS Green Belt, ScrumMaster Akkodis is recruiting for a SW Development Engineer for an aerospace manufacturer in the Grand Rapids, MI area. This is a remote position with occasional travel to the site in MI. This is a contract position with a pay range of $50 an hour to $90 an hour depending on education, experience and location. These roles will support military tools programs, contributing to software development tasks in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Base pay range $50.00/hr - $90.00/hr

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain software solutions using

Python

and

C# .

Apply

object-oriented programming principles

to design and implement robust applications.

Utilize

GitHub

for version control and collaborate on code reviews.

Write and maintain

requirements

and

test procedures

for software components.

Participate in

Agile sprints

and manage tasks through

Rally .

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration and compliance with program standards.

Support occasional on-site activities, including integration and customer meetings.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

Minimum

2 years

of professional software development experience.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in

Python

and

C# ; strong understanding of

object-oriented programming ; experience with

GitHub ,

Visual Studio , and

VS Code .

Additional Skills:

Ability to write requirements and create test procedures.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and sprint planning.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in

aerospace

or

automotive

industries (or adjacent fields).

Knowledge of

Cameo

and

SmartBear

tools.

Exposure to integration with hardware systems.

U.S. Citizenship

required for military program support.
