Description A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a CNC Machinist . Position Type: Full Time Contract, Possible Contract to hire Duration: 12 months Location: Amityville NY 11701 As a CNC Machinist, you will: Performs a variety of manufacturing operations related to fabrication and/or machining of precision parts and/or sheet metal for use in the electronic industry and/or manufacturing assembly. knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. Proficient in routine machine maintenance and programming capabilities. Machines parts to specifications, using machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, or grinders. Sets up, adjusts, and operates all of the basic machining tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations. Maintains the tools and machines required for optimum job performance. Calculates dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments, such as micrometers and calipers. Aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines. Selects the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work. Monitors the feed and speed of machines during the machining process. Works from drawings, work orders, and instructions covering production parts or tooling requirements. Measures, examines, or tests completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometers. Sets controls to regulate machining, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized CNC machine control media. Knowledge in the operation of all metal working tools and machines, and the ability to determine the most efficient and economical methods of producing all materials and hardware related to or used in the construction of dies, fixtures, gauges, gigs, and tools. Constructs, modifies, or repairs a wide variety of product parts, subassemblies, and related tooling. Set up and operate a variety of machine shop and/or sheet metal fabrication equipment. Understands and complies with customer specification in part manufacturing. Understands and uses a wide variety of mathematical functions applicable to work tasks.
