Molding Set-Up Technician (Process Tech)
The Opportunity
We have a full-time opening for an experienced Molding Set-Up Technician who will set up, operate, and troubleshoot Arburg compression molding presses and respond to machine alerts. The set-up technician is the primary machine operator/process tech responsible for production output and product conformity. Product is thermoset parts such as seals used in medical devices.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience setting up, troubleshooting and operating compression and/or injection molding presses
- Certification or a relevant technical degree in molding is preferred but molding experience is most important.
- Highly responsible with experience in overseeing production with no immediate supervision.
Essential Job Functions (Job-Specific Knowledge/Skills)
- Set up molding presses for production, including CNC injection presses
- Set up cycle time for molding
- Remove and install molds into various presses
- Regulate proper temperatures and set cycle time for molding and curing
- Diagnose troubles and make compensating adjustments
- Interact with and support molding operator assistant
- Meet strict quality standards and product specifications
- Diligently follow a production schedule while responding effectively to schedule changes
Starting Pay: $28+ per hour depending on experience.
