- Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on project specifications and requirements.
- Analyze project plans, blueprints, and other documentation to determine project needs.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project scope and budget.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and reliable services.
- Monitor project costs and provide updates to ensure adherence to budgets.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and proposals to clients and internal teams.
- Stay updated on market trends, materials costs, and industry best practices.
- Assist in value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality.

The Successful Applicant A successful Building and Construction Estimator in Syracuse should have:
- A background in construction or a related field with a strong understanding of project estimation processes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with construction software and tools to streamline estimation processes.
