Maintenance Manager
Our client, a global Tier 1 automotive supplier, is seeking a Maintenance Manager for their 24/7 unionized facility in Shelbyville, IN. We are seeking a strong, results-driven leader who can bring their vision to manage, plan and develop the maintenance team. This is a key senior leadership role, reporting directly to the Plant Manager. Company relocation assistance is available for this opportunity. Responsibilities include leading and developing a team of salaried and hourly maintenance/technical professionals, planning and executing all Maintenance Team activities, participating in team analysis for problem solving of major breakdowns, managing the reliability centered maintenance (RCM) systems to ensure equipment reliability with minimal downtime, collaborating with production teams to enhance operational efficiency, documenting maintenance and repair activities for future reference and compliance, managing CapEx projects, coordinating with external contractors for specialized repairs and services, and being a strong proponent of safety culture, training and adherence. Keep up-to-date with technological advancements in maintenance engineering.
Qualifications & Skills include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other related technical field, 5 years of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment, leadership experience in a union setting is preferred but not required, demonstrated continuous improvement mindset, Reliability Centered Maintenance experience including management of CMMS, PdM, PM and TPM systems, and CapEx project experience.
