in our Project Management Organization as a Senior Estimator supporting Transmission and Distribution projects.
Responsibilities
Extensive electrical utility experience (overhead transmission, substation, and/or foundations/civil).
Estimate projects in accordance with policies and procedures with oversight while learning estimating practices and processes.
Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, drawings, specifications, and related documents.
Attend customer pre-bid meetings.
Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, drawings, specifications, and related documents.
Prepare complete labor and material cost estimates.
Coordinate with project management.
Prepare bills of material and other information for use by purchasing.
Determine constructability requirements via field walk-downs with customer, subcontractor, and construction personnel.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
7+ years of tangible experience in the high voltage estimating space.
This position is primarily a remote role with travel to South Carolina 1-2 weeks a month to start and become more of an as needed basis and projects progress.
