The Payroll Specialist will manage multi-state payroll processing and support day-to-day HR/payroll administration. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing through ADP Workforce Now (WFN), maintaining payroll records, supporting compliance efforts, and assisting employees with payroll-related inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly and biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees using ADP Workforce Now (WFN)
- Maintain accurate payroll records, timekeeping data, deductions, garnishments, bonuses, and tax withholdings
- Review and reconcile employee timecards, attendance, overtime, and shift differentials
- Partner with supervisors and operations leadership to resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations
- Administer payroll-related changes including new hires, terminations, pay adjustments, and benefit deductions
- Support year-end payroll activities including W-2 processing and payroll audits
- Generate payroll reports and assist with labor reporting and analytics for manufacturing operations
- Respond to employee payroll questions and provide excellent internal customer service
- Assist with onboarding paperwork, HR recordkeeping, and employee file maintenance
- Support benefits administration, leave tracking, and other HR/payroll projects as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information
Qualifications
- 5+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now (WFN) required
- Experience processing payroll for hourly employees, including overtime and shift schedules
- Understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HRIS/payroll systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
