Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
DaVita is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who is looking to give life in a hospital setting. You can make an exceptional difference in the lives of our patients and their families dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. Do you desire to deliver care in an empathetic, compassionate way - the way you'd want your own care to be?
In this role, you take responsibility for the complete ongoing care of each patient to ensure their dialysis treatment stays on track. LPNs will work in conjunction with dialysis RNs to provide dialysis care.
You will work 3-4 days a week with 12+ hour shifts - with possible travel to cover other SNF clinics in your region (per patient/clinic needs) and also be required to work alternating Saturdays. This position is located at 4805 LANGLEY AVE. WHITEHALL, OH 43213.
Spending the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment. DSD Dialysis care is a complex but fulfilling service line. Meeting and/or exceeding clinical outcomes are the goals and multitasking is an expectation to meet the needs of the service, the patients and our SNF partners.
Your training will include a combination of classroom and hands-on learning, through DaVita's award-winning training programs. Training may take place in a facility or a training clinic with a class of new teammates other than your assigned home clinic. May be asked to support other local SNF dens.
Current LPN-LVN license in the state of practice required. Current CPR certification required. IV certification required if required by state regulations. High school diploma or equivalent required. Completed training program approved by the medical director and the governing body as required by CMS guidelines prior to operating the water treatment system. Minimum of one year's experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred. Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook required; functional proficiency in computer systems of DaVita within 90 days of hire required.
More than just pay, our DaVita Rewards package connects teammates to what matters most including: Comprehensive benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, paid time off, PTO cash out. Paid training: DaVita offers all new dialysis teammates a very structured and robust, PAID training program to help you learn the right dialysis skills to keep you on track every step of the way, with hands on learning on the clinical floor with patients.
