What You'll Do:
- Operate center oscillating Pettibone and Doosan forklifts in an oilfield pipe yard environment to load, unload, and transport pipe and tubular materials.
- Load and unload pipe and other materials from trucks and railcars, ensuring proper handling and secure placement.
- Assist in ensuring pipe racks are maintained in a safe and organized condition.
- Verify loads are properly secured and compliant with safety standards prior to transport.
- Count and verify materials against shipping documents; assist with inventory control and reconciliation.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform minor maintenance on forklifts and related equipment.
- Maintain adherence to all safety procedures while performing material handling and equipment operation.
What We're Looking For:
Required Education, Experience and/or Abilities
- A high school diploma or equivalent education with zero to two (0-2) years' experience in oilfield or trucking operations; an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to meet physical requirements established by the Department of Transportation, including drug/alcohol testing.
- Possession of a valid driver's license appropriate for the type of equipment to be operated.
- OSHA forklift certification preferred, or have the ability to pass operator test for certification.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- English language fluency, verbal and written.
- Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.
