Facilities Manager
The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing all maintenance, facilities, and safety-related activities across three aerospace manufacturing sites. This role ensures a safe, compliant, and efficient working environment supporting a wide range of processes including plating, chemical processing, punch press operations, heat treat, blasting, NDT inspection, CNC machining, and assembly.
The primary objective of this role is to create and sustain a safe, reliable, and well-maintained workplace while ensuring compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Essential Duties
Facilities & Maintenance Management
- Plan, schedule, prioritize, and supervise all maintenance activities involving machine tools, electrical systems, buildings, and grounds.
- Organize, direct, and control maintenance personnel engaged in repair, modification, and preventive maintenance work.
- Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with production and operations teams to meet manufacturing schedules and minimize disruptions.
- Maintain documentation including equipment specifications, diagrams, maintenance records, and compliance logs.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance efficiency and reliability.
- Plan and manage facilities-related projects including equipment installation, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors; ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Evaluate and implement new maintenance technologies, systems, and best practices.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, industrial equipment, and facility infrastructure.
- In-depth understanding of EH&S regulations (OSHA, EPA, hazardous materials handling).
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
