As a forklift operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and safe material handling within the facility. Responsibilities
- Operate production lines and push carts of products efficiently.
- Move materials around the facility and engage in lifting and labor tasks.
- Demonstrate a high attention to detail and initiative.
- Maintain a high level of attendance and commitment.
- Operate a sit-down forklift, ensuring communication and organization with warehouse associates.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a fast-paced mindset.
- Handle material movement, including moving pallets with multiple units.
- Spend approximately 90% of your time operating the forklift and 10% performing other tasks.
Essential Skills
- 1-2 years of recent forklift experience, preferably in a sit-down forklift role.
- Ability to stand on feet for 10+ hours a day and lift 30+lbs repeatedly.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment and production facility.
- Ability to interpret work instructions and complete necessary paperwork.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Strong safety record and recent forklift experience.
- Capability to lift items over the head repeatedly.
- Open to performing other job duties, including machine operating as requested.
