Why This Role Exists
This role exists to support continued production demand within Crane Aerospace & Electronics’ precision machine shop operations. The Precision Deburring Technician plays a critical role in ensuring aerospace components meet strict blueprint specifications and quality standards before final assembly.
At Crane Aerospace & Electronics, this position contributes directly to producing precision components used in aircraft braking systems and cabin actuation systems operating on thousands of aircraft worldwide.
The Work You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
Perform precision deburring of machined aerospace components using rotary and manual tools
Use microscopes and scopes to deburr internal holes, cross sections, and tight tolerance features
Set up and operate deburring tools according to manufacturing instructions
Inspect parts to blueprint specifications to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy
Adjust tooling or methods as needed to achieve proper finishes and tolerances
Identify and report manufacturing or quality issues to the Team Leader or Supervisor
Maintain safe working practices and follow PPE and safety protocols
Support production flow by completing assigned tasks efficiently and accurately
Tools & Inspection Equipment

Micro-tools for internal hole deburring

Calipers and precision measuring tools

What We’re Looking For
Required
3+ years of precision deburring experience in a machine shop environment
Experience using microscopes or scopes for internal hole deburring
Strong understanding of rotary and manual deburring tools
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Experience inspecting parts to specification
Ability to work independently while maintaining quality standards
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred (Not Required)
Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience
Familiarity with tight-tolerance aerospace components
Experience working in ITAR-controlled environments

Pay, Benefits & Schedule
Pay Range:
$28.00 – $42.00/hr (DOE) - 2% differential 2nd shift
