Lumber Handler 1st shift - 6 to 2:30 pm - some overtime $17.63/hr Northwest Hardwoods is the premier Hardwood Lumber producer in the industry serving furniture, cabinet, and molding and millwork segments worldwide. We have an immediate opening seeking a full time Lumber Handler. Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Handling, sorting, and stacking rough cut lumber by dimension, species, and grade
- Ensure lumber is placed accurately and neatly into the appropriate cart
- Working in open warehouses and keeping work areas safe and clean
- Participate in job rotations
Basic Qualifications:
- Work at a fast pace and be detail oriented team player
- Cross train in other production related jobs
- An all-around positive work attitude, at all times
Required Qualifications:
- Must be safety conscious, have a positive attitude and work well in a team environment.
- Must have and maintain excellent attendance record.
- Pre-employment physical and drug-screen required.
- Candidates must be able to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
- Always required to wear personal protective equipment.
Education
- High school or GED equivalent or 18 years of age
