Title: Intimates Designer
Schedule: Mon - Fri
Location: Manhattan, NY
Pay Range: $35 - $40 hourly

Role Overview:
- The Designer is an individual contributor responsible for supporting the development of commercially viable product designs across specific categories and collections. This role ensures all designs align with brand direction and overall business strategy, including style, color, print, fit, and fabric. The Designer applies trend awareness and customer insights to deliver innovative, market-relevant products while maintaining strong attention to detail and brand integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Product Development
- Create brand-aligned, commercially viable designs that support overall concept and business strategy
- Develop seasonal product assortments with a focus on style, fit, fabric, and functionality
- Produce design sketches, prototypes, and detailed specifications, including tech packs and fit updates
- Refine and adapt designs based on feedback to achieve final product execution
- Trend Research & Customer Focus
- Conduct ongoing market and trend research to inform design direction
- Analyze competitor products and industry trends to identify new opportunities
- Apply customer insights to anticipate needs and enhance product relevance
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Merchandising, Marketing, Product Development, and external vendors to ensure alignment throughout the design process
- Collaborate on timelines, deliverables, and product execution from concept through production
- Participate in fittings and support execution of design intent with guidance from leadership
- Execution & Process Management
- Maintain accurate documentation, including color line sheets and PLM systems, as the central source of product information
- Track progress against timelines, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues
- Support internal presentations, meetings, and design reviews with well-prepared materials
- Contribute to custom design requests and special projects as needed
- Team Contribution & Continuous Improvement
- Present creative concepts and contribute to team brainstorming sessions
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency, speed, and agility
- Maintain high standards of quality while meeting budget and timeline commitments
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Design or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a comparable retail or fashion environment
- Experience in lingerie/corsetry design with an understanding of the female silhouette
- Strong knowledge of fashion trends, history, and key design influences
- Commercial design sensibility with strong attention to detail in product styling and performance
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office
- Experience with PLM systems is preferred
- Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Creative problem solver with adaptability and a proactive mindset
- Ability to travel domestically as needed
