Grounds Maintenance Worker (Part-Time)

Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining clean and professional landscapes, and knows your way around mowing and irrigation equipment? Tresco is looking for a dependable and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Worker to help maintain grounds and rest areas according to contract standards and schedules.

Position Summary
Perform tasks required to meet grounds and rest area maintenance standards per contract schedule in accordance with Tresco policies and procedures.
What You'll Do
Grounds & Landscape Maintenance
- Mow and maintain landscaped grounds using walking and zero-turn mowers
- Trim hedges, shrubs, and edges around sidewalks, planters, and buildings
- Remove weeds, debris, leaves, limbs, and trash to maintain a clean appearance
- Prune shrubs and trees using professional landscaping tools
- Operate blowers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, clippers, and edging tools
- Respond to storm cleanup needs including fallen limbs, debris, and erosion cleanup
- Aerate and fertilize grounds as needed
Irrigation & Equipment Responsibilities
- Repair and replace Rain Bird valves, sprinkler systems, timers, piping, fittings, and wiring
- Dig trenches and perform irrigation system maintenance
- Monitor equipment performance and report malfunctions promptly
Team & Company Expectations
- Maintain professionalism and positive communication
- Attend required trainings and staff meetings
- Follow all safety procedures, OSHA standards, and company policies
- Carry and respond to work phone communications during work hours
- Maintain cleanliness of company vehicles if assigned
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in:
- Grounds maintenance
- Irrigation systems
- Tractor and mowing equipment operation
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid Driver's License required
Required Background Checks
- Office of Inspector General/CMMS Exclusions List
- Driving Record (MVR)
- General Background Check
- New Mexico Department of Health Fingerprinting
