Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking an NPI & Test Supervisor in partnership with a prominent client in the Binghamton area within the Manufacturing field. The position is most ideal for someone with an electrical aptitude and hands-on experience supporting new product builds in a manufacturing setting.

Pay: $23 - $25/ hour
NPI & Test Supervisor Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of both the Test and NPI teams.
- Ensure efficient coordination, scheduling, and execution of departmental activities to support on-time delivery of products.
- Assist with research and development efforts, including estimates, test requirements, and timing.
- Interpret specifications and maintain accurate records using internal tracking systems and logs.
- Manage and review evaluation documentation.
- Organize daily production flow and generate test documentation.
- Monitor workload across builds and maintain status updates within internal databases.
- Participate in project planning meetings to anticipate upcoming builds and align team readiness.
- Collaborate with engineering staff to support future product launches, and ensure requirements are clearly understood and executed.
- Track released work orders, material availability, and prioritize assignments accordingly.
- Guide technicians to improve efficiency and technical understanding.
- Interpret technical drawings to support new assembly processes.
- Supervise staff performance, including attendance, productivity, and quality of work.
- Maintain accurate records of shop floor activities and address personnel concerns as needed.
- Troubleshoot problems and recommend improvements using available systems and data.
NPI & Test Supervisor Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/ Equivalent.
- 3 years in a supervisory role within manufacturing or engineering.
- Associate degree in Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong electronics/ electrical knowledge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with cable assembly production.
- Manufacturing experience with technical insight on specific equipment or processes
- Experience working with RFQs (request for quotes), including estimating or interpreting technical requirements.
- Familiarity with RMA (return material authorization) processes
- IPC certification (IPC 610 / IPC 620).
- Blueprint reading capability.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to provide process feedback.
- Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9000.
