Forklift Operator
We are currently hiring experienced and safety-focused Forklift Operators to support scrap and material movement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for candidates with prior forklift experience who are committed to maintaining safety standards and ensuring efficient production flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely to transport, load, unload, and stage scrap materials
- Move materials to designated scrap, recycling, or disposal areas
- Inspect materials for damage or irregularities and report issues promptly
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Maintain accurate logs of material movement and inventory
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Support production and assist with additional tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous forklift operating experience required
- Experience in manufacturing, scrap, or recycling environments preferred
- Strong understanding of workplace safety practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
