Job Title: Forklift Operator 2nd shift: Monday - Thursday 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. and Friday 10:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down, high-reach, and propane forklifts, as well as pallet jacks and related material-handling equipment, to move, load, and unload products throughout the warehouse.
- Handle inbound and outbound freight, including shipping and receiving tasks, to ensure accurate and timely product flow.
- Support inventory control by scanning, tracking, and documenting product movement using RF scanners and inventory management or warehouse management systems.
- Assist with cross-docking operations to transfer products efficiently between inbound and outbound shipments.
- Perform picking and packing activities to support order fulfillment, replenishment, and general warehouse workflow.
- Complete accurate data entry related to inventory, shipments, and product locations within warehouse systems.
- Follow established quality assurance procedures to ensure products are handled and stored correctly and accurately.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and report any issues to maintain safe and reliable forklift and equipment operation.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
- Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to meet productivity and accuracy goals.
- Lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds as needed to complete warehouse tasks.
Essential Skills
- Previous forklift operation experience is required.
- Proficiency operating sit-down forklifts, high-reach forklifts, and propane forklifts.
- Ability to safely operate pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment or similar setting.
- Ability to use RF scanners for scanning and tracking inventory.
- Basic computer knowledge for data entry and use of warehouse or inventory management systems.
- Capability to perform picking, packing, shipping, and receiving tasks accurately.
- Comfortable lifting and moving up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with inventory management systems and warehouse management systems.
- Inventory control, including tracking and documenting product movement.
- Exposure to quality assurance processes within a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Previous experience in a team-oriented, high-volume warehouse operation.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bellefonte, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
