What You'll Do:
- Stock and Manage Inventory: Keep all parts well-stocked and organized for seamless operations.
- Conduct Price & Quality Surveys: Ensure we're getting the best deals without compromising quality.
- Provide Exceptional Counter Service: Be the go-to person for parts and technical support.
- Maintain a Clean & Efficient Parts Room: Create an orderly environment that boosts productivity.
- Handle Special Orders: Order non-stock parts to support repair orders quickly.
- Monitor Inventory Levels: Replenish parts proactively to avoid shortages.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Keep precise files and generate reports as needed.
What We're Looking For:

- Strong computer skills including the ability to:
- Repair sub-components of various bus types
- Understand and follow technical schematics
- Use Microsoft Office and diagnostic software efficiently.
- A Customer-Focused and professional demeanor with discretion and confidentiality.
- Highly Detail-Oriented & Resourceful: Able to operate independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent Time Management, Organizational, and Communication Skills.
- Solid problem-solving and analytical ability - troubleshoot, communicate, document solutions.
- Flexibility to work in a 24/7 operational environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of progressive heavy equipment maintenance experience.
- ASE Transit Certificate or a clear acquisition plan in place.
- 2 years technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Training from mechanical/technical schools, courses, or seminars is a plus.
- Valid North Carolina Driver's License with CDL endorsement required.
- Experience with diagnostic computer equipment and software.
- Ability to learn and maintain systems like ADA equipment, A/C, brakes, chassis, cooling systems, engines, lighting, gauges, safety/fire suppression systems, tires, and transmissions.
- Proven hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
