Hiring 2nd Shift 2nd Forklift Operators in Middletown, PA! Job Description The Forklift Operator works in a warehouse environment performing core material handling and inventory tasks. This role involves operating reach trucks and stand-up forklifts, supporting cycle counting and inventory monitoring, and assisting with general picking, packing, and warehouse activities. The position requires basic computer skills, a commitment to cross-training in all departments, and safe, efficient operation of material handling equipment. Responsibilities
- Operate reach truck and stand-up forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.
- Support cycle counting activities to maintain accurate inventory records and identify discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with basic inventory control tasks as directed.
- Perform general warehouse duties, including picking and packing orders to meet productivity and accuracy standards.
- Use RF scan guns to locate, scan, and track products and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Assist with basic warehouse functions such as staging, organizing, and replenishing stock.
- Operate additional material handling equipment such as tuggers as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures, warehouse policies, and equipment operation guidelines at all times.
- Collaborate with team members and be willing to train and work across all departments as business needs require.
- Use basic computer functions to complete simple data entry, look up information, and support warehouse processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and promptly report any safety or equipment concerns.
Essential Skills
- At least 6 months of warehouse experience.
- At least 6 months of experience operating a forklift.
- Experience operating a reach truck forklift.
- Stand-up forklift experience.
- Ability to operate basic functions on a computer.
- Willingness to be trained in all departments.
- Willingness to be trained on a cherry picker.
- Experience with picking and packing in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to use RF scan guns for scanning and tracking inventory.
- High school diploma or GED.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with high reach equipment.
- Experience with sit-down forklifts.
- Experience performing cycle counting and cycle counts.
- Experience using tuggers or similar material handling equipment.
- Comfort working in a busy warehouse environment with multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling inventory and completing orders.
