The Technology Support Coordinator will report directly to the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer ("CFAO") to support the software and hardware used across the organization, including at Affiliate and Global Offices. Responsibilities include onboarding and offboarding staff, procuring hardware and software in consultation with the Technology Consultant and the CFAO, responding to staff questions and resolving technology issues, monitoring systems for security and safety, and training staff on security measures. This role blends hands-on systems administration, vendor and project management, and day-to-day support leadership. Responsibilities
Operational Support & Systems Administration
• Assist in the administration of the organization's Microsoft 365 environment, including Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and security/compliance tools.
• Oversee identity and access management, ensuring appropriate permissions, onboarding/offboarding workflows, and security best practices.
• Maintain core IT infrastructure, including network configurations, device management, and cloud-based systems.
• Serve as Help Desk for staff technology questions and issues across multiple time zones.
Technology Governance & Security
• Implement and monitor cybersecurity policies, conditional access, and data-loss prevention controls.
• Support the Technology Consultant in risk assessments, incident response planning, and compliance initiatives.
• Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and policies.
Project & Vendor Management
• Assist in technology projects such as system migrations, software rollouts, and process improvements.
• Coordinate with external vendors and consultants to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Track project timelines, budgets, and deliverables; communicate progress to stakeholders.
User Experience & Training
• Develop and maintain training resources, guides, and workshops to help staff use Microsoft tools effectively and foster a culture of digital literacy.
• Coordinate with HR to onboard new staff with the appropriate role-based equipment and systems access.
• Propose solutions for recurring needs identified by the Executive Team that reduce friction and improve productivity.
Strategic Support
• Partner with the Technology Consultant and CFAO to evaluate new tools, strengthen IT strategy, and plan for organizational growth.
• Contribute to annual budgeting, technology roadmaps, and long-term infrastructure planning.
• Provide data and insights to support decision-making around systems, security, and operations.
Qualifications
Required
• 3+ years of experience in IT administration, systems management, or similar roles.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, and related cloud technologies.
• Experience supporting distributed teams and managing remote-first environments.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and coordinate with external vendors.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
Preferred
• Experience working in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms, cloud file management, and workflow automation tools.
• Experience with data governance, compliance, or international data-protection considerations.
