Position: Accountant Location: Remote Duration: 6+ Months Client is looking for a motivated Accountant to join our team. This role will be critical in building a world class accounting organization to support our growth. - Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations and flux analyses in accordance with close calendar timelines, primarily focused on Sales & Marketing (S&M), Operations & Support (O&S) and Flexdrive (XD), which includes brand, paid acquisitions, partnerships, customer support, field operations and Client rentals.
- Support prepaid expenses and related reconciliation workbooks
- Coordinate with AP, business partners and other external parties as needed to ensure balances are properly recorded
- Assist in developing and implementing scalable accounting processes to facilitate timely and accurate financial reporting
- Assist in support of external audit, including preparation of audit requests and ongoing support
- Coordinate with vendors/internal stakeholders to get estimates for accruals
- Coordinate with cross-functional partners to streamline month end close processes
- Assist in documentation/implementation of internal controls and ensure SOX compliance in areas of responsibility
- Completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other tasks as assigned
Experience and Skills:
- BS in Accounting degree preferred
- 1+ years experience in Accounting role, public accounting experience preferred
- Excellent organizational and communication skills a must
- Must be detail oriented, able to solve problems and multitask
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- Experience in Client with a strong emphasis on Excel is a must; Oracle Cloud is strongly preferred
- Ability to operate independently and as part of a larger functional team
