Position Summary
Aerospace and Defense Contracts Manager responsible for contract management, agreement negotiation, regulatory compliance, contract modifications, deliverables tracking, and program closeout for prime contracts and subcontracts.
Job Requirements
- 7 or more years of aerospace and defense contract management experience
- Experience managing prime contracts and subcontracts
- Firm-Fixed-Price contract experience
- Mastery of FAR, DFARS, ITAR, EAR, and UCC contract law
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Law, or related field
- Experience structuring complex agreements, including Long-Term Agreements and Master Purchase Agreements
- Experience reviewing RFPs for technical, schedule, and liability risks
- Experience managing compliance with aerospace quality standards, including AS9100
- Experience managing international defense trade compliance protocols
- Experience leading contract negotiations involving pricing, intellectual property rights, and liability limits
- Experience performing price analysis and cost evaluations
Preferred Skills
- NCMA certification
- CFCM certification
- CPCM certification
- Experience with aerospace hardware contracts
- Experience with engineering services contracts
- Experience with Engineering Change Proposals
- Experience issuing change orders to sub-tier vendors
- Experience managing CDRLs and Data Item Descriptions
- Experience supporting classified and unclassified aerospace program closeout
Job Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate complex aerospace and defense agreements
- Structure Long-Term Agreements and Master Purchase Agreements
- Review Requests for Proposals to identify technical, schedule, and liability risks
- Enforce compliance with FAR, DFARS, AS9100, and aerospace quality requirements
- Manage ITAR and EAR compliance protocols for international defense trade
- Lead negotiations related to pricing, intellectual property rights, and asset liability limits
- Conduct price analysis and cost evaluations for aerospace hardware and engineering services
- Execute contract modifications resulting from Engineering Change Proposals and scope changes
- Issue formal change orders for aerospace hardware configuration changes
- Manage contract amendments and modifications throughout program execution
- Govern delivery schedules for Contract Data Requirements Lists and Data Item Descriptions
- Oversee formal closeout procedures for classified and unclassified aerospace programs
