About the opportunity
Realm's client, a well-funded Series A AI infrastructure company, is hiring an Agentic Engineer to define how AI agents interact with the world. This is a hybrid role combining software engineering, LLM orchestration, and protocol design.
You'll focus on the agent interface, the layer where AI models meet trust and transaction infrastructure. You'll build the logic that allows agents to autonomously coordinate, pay, and act while maintaining safety and accountability.
What you'll do
- Agent orchestration: Build and optimise frameworks that enable AI agents to use identity and payment protocols.
- Interface design: Define standards for agent-to-agent and agent-to-human communication, focusing on CLI/TUI and programmatic interfaces.
- Design partner success: Partner with early adopters to architect autonomous agent workflows that leverage a verifiable governance layer.
- Safety & governance: Implement the logic for rule-based autonomous transaction policies, ensuring agents adhere to predefined constraints.
What you'll need
- AI/LLM expertise: Proficiency working with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) and orchestration frameworks (LangChain, AutoGPT, or custom agentic loops).
- System engineering: Strong proficiency in Python, Go, or Rust.
- Protocol thinking: Experience designing or implementing protocols for distributed systems or multi-agent environments.
- Autonomous systems: Background in building systems that operate with a degree of autonomy (e.g. trading bots, automated workflows).
- Product mindset: Ability to balance technical excellence with a high degree of empathy for the developer experience.
