Job Details Division: Nucor Building Systems South Carolina Location: Lacrosse, VA, United States Other Available Locations: Virginia Basic Job Functions: Must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold Environmental, Health, and Safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards. A commitment to Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality, Productivity and Profitability through leadership throughout the division. Establish safety policies, monitor OSHA compliance, ensure division conformance with NBG and corporate regulations. Work in conjunction with division Environmental Coordinator to maintain compliance, track information, and all permit requirements. Work in conjunction with division Occupational Health Coordinator to align all health objectives and initiatives. Liaison with on-site health representatives Communication with the Manager Team, division Leadership and Operational Teammates to ensure alignment. Travel with short notice. Working the required hours includes flexibility for second and third shifts, and to be on call in emergency situations 24/7. Oversee management of change, incident investigations, metric records and reporting to OSHA, the corporate office and the division's Safety Management System. Perform other duties as required by Supervisor or Management Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications: Prior leadership or involvement with Safety Team/Committee Proficiency with common computer software including Microsoft Office and Outlook. High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
