Field Superintendent – Day Shift
The Field Superintendent – Day Shift is responsible for the day-to-day oversight, coordination, and execution of construction activities at the Savannah River Site. This role ensures work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contract requirements, site regulations, and quality standards. The Superintendent serves as the primary field leader, driving schedule performance, workforce coordination, and execution excellence across all assigned scopes of work.
· Lead and manage daily field operations, ensuring work is executed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications and federal site requirements
· Supervise craft labor, subcontractors, and field personnel, providing direction, accountability, and support to achieve project objectives
· Coordinate with Project Managers, Safety, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment on execution plans and site priorities
· Enforce all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, promoting a strong safety culture across the jobsite
· Monitor project schedules, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions to maintain progress
· Ensure quality control standards are met through inspections, field verification, and coordination with QA/QC personnel
· Manage material deliveries, equipment utilization, and site logistics to support efficient operations
· Support site documentation requirements, including daily reports, time tracking, and compliance documentation
· Interface with client representatives and site leadership to ensure clear communication and alignment on project execution
· Work a standard day shift schedule aligned with site operations, with flexibility to support extended hours as required by project demands
· Perform additional duties as required to support project success and operational needs
High school diploma or equivalent required
· 10+ years of experience in construction field supervision, preferably in federal, industrial, or heavy civil environments
· Proven experience managing field operations, subcontractors, and craft labor on complex construction projects
Experience working at Department of Energy sites or similar secure federal facilities
Background in industrial construction, infrastructure, or environmental projects
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
Ability to obtain and maintain site access and required clearances at Savannah River Site
OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification
First Aid/CPR Certification
Additional safety or construction certifications relevant to federal or industrial work
Direct supervision of field personnel, subcontractors, and craft labor on assigned projects
