Job Description: The Power Plant Maintenance Manager directs all maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of generating assets. They oversee preventive/corrective programs, manage staff and contractor performance, and lead maintenance during outages, typically requiring an engineering degree and 5+ years of experience. Key Responsibilities
- Directs maintenance for mechanical, electrical, and I&C systems, ensuring asset integrity and high availability. Develops and implements preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
- Plans and executes scheduled and forced outages, including work scoping, contractor management, and budget oversight.
- Ensures compliance with safety (OSHA), environmental, and regulatory policies, including conducting audits and safety meetings.
- Supervises maintenance personnel (technicians, mechanics, contractors), handles hiring, performance management, and training.
- Manages operating and capital budgets, oversees warehouse inventory, and analyzes equipment performance to identify improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical) or related technical field is preferred, NOT required.
- 5+ years in industrial maintenance, with several years in a supervisory role within a power generation facility.
- Expertise in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), root cause analysis, and strong leadership/communication skills
