Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Foreman to lead projects in the field. This is a hands-on field leadership position responsible for managing crews, coordinating projects, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring high-quality work.
Most projects are within a 100-mile radius, and employees are home most nights.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and oversee multiple projects and crews
- Lead daily jobsite meetings and communicate schedules with crews
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with quality workmanship
- Train and mentor crew members
- Approve timesheets and complete required paperwork
- Manage tools, equipment, and jobsite operations
- Assist with hiring, employee reviews, and crew assignments
Qualifications
- Construction leadership experience preferred
- Grain equipment installation experience preferred
- Welding/fabrication experience is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and project specifications
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license required
- Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor conditions
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Regular climbing, lifting, standing, and working at heights
- Willingness to work outdoors and occasionally long hours
