Electrical Engineering — AI Data Trainer
About The Role
We partner with the world's leading AI research labs to build and train the next generation of AI models — and we need expert electrical engineers to help us do it. This is a unique opportunity to apply your deep technical knowledge in a high‑impact, fully remote role that fits around your schedule.
You’ll put advanced AI models through their paces across domains such as embedded systems, signal processing, power systems, and control theory — probing their limits, exposing their weaknesses, and helping shape how they reason through complex engineering problems.
Organization: Alignerr
Type: Hourly Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You’ll Do
Design Challenging Problems — Craft advanced electrical engineering problems spanning circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, and more to rigorously test AI performance
Author Gold-Standard Solutions — Develop precise, step‑by‑step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning and evaluation
Audit AI Outputs — Review AI‑generated code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for technical accuracy, safety, and compliance with engineering standards (e.g., IEEE, NEC)
Sharpen AI Reasoning — Identify logical gaps and flaws in AI‑generated engineering reasoning, then provide structured feedback to improve model performance
Work Flexibly — Complete assignments independently and asynchronously on a schedule that works for you
Who You Are
Pursuing or holding a Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
Strong foundational expertise in one or more core domains: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, or similar
Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and precisely in writing
Highly detail‑oriented when reviewing mathematical equations, circuit logic, and engineering documentation
No prior AI or data annotation experience required
Nice to Have
Experience with data annotation, technical writing, or evaluation systems
Familiarity with engineering simulation tools or formal verification methods
Exposure to LLMs or AI‑assisted engineering tools
