What This Role Actually Is (And Isn't)
This is an onsite, inbound technical sales role — not field sales.
You will:
- Work from our Pittsburgh office
- Manage incoming customer and distributor opportunities
- Review technical requirements
- Consult with customers and engineers
- Deliver accurate quotes and solutions
You will not
- Go door-to-door
- Cold call in the field
- Travel extensively
This role is highly transactional, consultative, and relationship-driven, focused on helping customers select the right technical solution quickly and effectively.

In this role, you will:
- Manage inbound phone calls and email sales opportunities from inquiry through quote
- Collaborate with customers to understand application needs
- Use technical knowledge to recommend appropriate solutions
- Partner with engineers to interpret requirements
- Coordinate with vendors on product details, pricing, and delivery timelines
- Build strong relationships with customers and distributors
- Develop deep knowledge of our products, processes, and applications

What You Bring
Technical Curiosity + Sales Mindset
You enjoy understanding how things work and helping others solve problems. You can grasp technical concepts and explain them clearly.
- Technical aptitude or experience required (manufacturing or industrial background preferred)
- Engineering degree not required
- Ability to learn complex products and applications
- Comfort working with technical specifications
